The Greeley Blues Festival is a family oriented day with children 12 and under admitted free with an adult (but children must have a ticket issued). The BlueSkool stage features educational workshops teaching music techniques to all ages and children's activities are offered. There are two stages inside the arena, providing continuous music from open to close. The interior of the arena is sodded for a relaxed atmosphere. Lawn chairs, blankets and bottled water are welcome, but please leave your coolers at home.

Camping
Camping is available on the festival grounds at Island Grove Park. RV camping is $25 per night and available Friday or Saturday night. Tent camping is $10 per night. Reservations can be made on line only by clicking on tickets. Tickets will need to be shown at the check-in tent at Island Grove Park when you set up.

Remember, you must have purchased tickets for on-site RV / camping.

What to Bring
lawn chair, blanket, hat, rain gear, sunscreen, insect repellant, friends & family (especially children)

What NOT to Bring
pets, coolers, food, beverages (water bottles OK), audio or video recording equipment, tents or anything else that blocks your neighbor's view

Friday Night Activities Downtown....
   
   Hosted by the Greeley Downtown Association - Eight venues, at least 10 acts w/no cover! All venues are on the 9th St. Plaza (between 8th and 9th Ave) or just around the corner. We’re closing off the street for this one… come and enjoy!

11:30 am - 1:30 pm Kickoff Show - All Ages Al Chesis of the Delta Sonics, and Christopher J. Richards With special guests the Bluze Kids* Michaela Ray and Jay Gaunt around 12:30.*Two of the most talented young blues musicians in the country on stage together for the first time… A must see at Salvador Deli on the corner of 8th Av & 9th St - Great sandwiches and coffee drinks, stop by for lunch.

4:00 - 7:00 pm - Plaza Stage (outdoors) - All Ages Alison & Kristen Hamling - Wonderful vocals, guitar and fiddle… these women can flat out sing! (NOT to be confused with singing flat) Ben Pu & Crew – Blues and a bit more starting around 5:30, a popular local group… You’ll love Ben’s guitar work!

7:00 - 9:00 pm - All Ages Lionel Young: Festival performer and Grand Champion of the solo/duo division at the 2008 International Blues Challenge!!! at Corleone’s (downstairs) on the plaza. Good Italian food and a Friday wing special.

8:00 pm - Midnight (unless otherwise noted) Five venues all going at the same time. Go see everyone… a treat for your ears!
   Rob Wilson Blues Band: Rob is a great harp player who has been holdin’ down the blues in Northern CO for a couple of decades… from traditional Chicago to jump swing, these 5 guys rock! at The Rio Grande - Good Tex Mex food, renowned for their margaritas! NW corner of the plaza.

Doc Brown Blues Band: A tight and tasty electric trio from Denver, these dudes get it done! Chris Richards sittin in’ on the harp to make it a quartet, and if that ain't enough we’re bringin’ up the Bluze Kids around 9PM At Dutch’s - A cool old school joint, north side in the middle of the plaza, a few doors east of the Rio. The obscure entry is around the corner… don’t walk past without coming inside!

The Kingpins: Robert Taylor’s guitar and vocals are very appealing… the rest of these guys definitely bring it on home! at The Island Grill - on the NE corner of the plaza.

Rex Peoples: 9:30 pm - 2:00 am (late start and a late finish for you night owls) Rex’s powerful gospel drenched vocals will have you seekin’ him out again & again. at The Penalty Box - Above Corleone’s with food from the Corleone’s kitchen available late.

Miss Blues: Last but not least… another festival performer to treat your ears! " Blues with an attitude" from Oklahoma City-- she will also be featured Saturday at the Blues Festival. in the Clarion Hotel - Across 8th Ave from the plaza and one block to the North… walk on down!
